Welcome to the Homepage for the children' book

 "David's Donkey Tales."

This charming story appeals to elementary school age children who love animals and like to solve a mystery. Parents and grandparents will enjoy reading it aloud because the story resembles classic stories they loved in the past. The book engages children with clues, surprises, sweet animals, dangers, and imaginary adventures without using magic wands, unicorns, extraterrestrials, or dragons.

David is a fourth grader who visits his grandparents' farm where he has many adventures with their miniature donkeys. The suspense starts early one morning when Sheriff Kyle drives to the farm to warn David's grandparents about a possible danger.

David likes to be with the animals on the farm, but he especially loves the tiny donkeys his granddad raises. The donkeys are about 3' tall, but being the smallest boy in his class, David is still small enough to ride them.

David is shunned at school so he has learned to entertain himself with books, imagination, and outdoor play. He and the donkeys are the heroes in all his pretend and real-life adventures.

David is a very smart little boy who believes that he is capable of solving mysteries and finding hidden treasure. The fun starts when he finds a hidden clue behind his bookcase. Who put it there? What does it mean? Does it have anything to do with what Sheriff Kyle warned about?
